Rising 11th and 12th Grade

So, you think you want to be an ENGINEER... now what?

Come explore the possibilities within Auburn University’s engineering program, including the Paper and Bioresource Engineering Specialization. The specialization, and Pulp & Paper Scholarship, is open to students who are majoring in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biosystems engineering, and industrial systems engineering. The pulp and paper industry is rapidly growing, creating a increasing demand for highly skilled professionals. Auburn’s Paper and Bioresource Engineering Specialization is uniquely set up to pave one’s way into this sought-after industry. Summer camp participants will receive first-hand experience on what the program has to offer by participating in a variety of activities.

These activities will include:

  • Participating in hands-on experiments with Pulp and Paper faculty with a take home souvenir
  • Tour of Paper Mill
  • Presentation from recent Auburn University graduates on the Life of a Paper Engineer
  • Tour of Auburn University Engineering Campus
  • Information on how to apply to Auburn University and how to become eligible for the Pulp, Paper, & Bioresource Engineering Scholarship
  • Networking with mill managers and industry leaders

In addition to receiving hands on experience with the program, camp participants will be submerged into campus-life. Students will reside in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities. Participants will have 24/7 supervision by trained counselors.
