Are you interested in a career that lets you work outside and contribute to the conservation and enjoyment of our natural world? Join us for the “Outdoors Careers Camp,” where high school students can explore diverse career paths in forestry, wildlife, environmental conservation and management, parks and recreation management, and geospatial sciences. Throughout the week, participants will engage in hands-on activities and gain insights into various environmental careers.
Students will have the chance to work with wildlife, learn how to safely capture and handle animals, explore pre-veterinary career options, and understand the importance of wildlife conservation. They'll also dive into urban forestry, participate in Project Learning Tree activities, and discover the role of forests in urban and natural environments. At Chewacla State Park, students will engage in outdoor recreation activities such as biking, hiking, and geocaching while learning about careers in parks and recreation management and environmental conservation and management.
This camp is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded peers, learn from experts in the field, and get inspired by the many career opportunities that await in the great outdoors!
