Rising 11th – 12th Grade

Auburn University's Graphic Design Camp is an engaging program for rising 11th and 12th grade students interested in a professional career in Graphic Design. Hosted by the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction's School of Industrial and Graphic Design, this week-long overnight camp offers an intensive design experience exploring graphic design principles such as emphasis, balance/alignment, contrast, repetition, proportion, rhythm and negative space—with an emphasis of typographic explorations.

Each day is filled with practical, hands-on design activities, technical demonstrations, and in-depth instruction. Foundational skills are emphasized throughout the week as participants develop their solution to the design issue at hand. Working in dedicated studio spaces, participants engage and learn from the university’s highly qualified professors with the opportunity for individual guidance as well. There will also be camp counselors present at all times with the students to ensure safety and supervision. In addition to their work in the studio, students will experience campus-life on the plains.

Camp participants will experience campus-life while residing in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities. Participants will have 24/7 counselor supervision.
