Short Bio

Jennifer Ryan joined the Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) in 2015 as an Outreach Administrator III, managing communications and marketing for the department. In this role, Jennifer oversees the website, social media channels, internal and external communications, and marketing, and assists with classes, programs, and special events. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in communication and public relations from Auburn University. In 2023, her son, Austin, carried on the tradition by earning his B.A. in communication with a minor in marketing from Auburn. Jennifer is an active community volunteer in the areas of disaster relief and animal rescue. She lives in Opelika and serves on the boards of directors for Opelika Main Street and the Public Relations Council of Alabama.
