Short Bio

Jennifer Ryan joined the Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) as Communications and Marketing Manager in 2015. In this role, Jennifer oversees the website, social media channels, internal and external communications, and marketing, and assists with classes, programs, and special events. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in communication and public relations from Auburn University. In 2023, her son, Austin, carried on the tradition by earning his B.A. in communication with a minor in marketing from Auburn. Jennifer is an active community volunteer in the areas of disaster relief and animal rescue. She lives in Opelika and serves on the board of directors for Opelika Main Street and the Public Relations Council of Alabama.
