Short Bio
Allyson has over 19 years of experience in fundraising at Auburn University. Currently serving as Development Officer for University Outreach she leads fundraising efforts across eight diverse units. In her first year in University Outreach, Allyson exceeded the annual fundraising goal by 759%. Previously, Allyson spent nearly a decade with the College of Liberal Arts Development Office, where she coordinated annual giving, stewardship, and donor engagement strategies that more than doubled Dean’s Club membership and contributed to the college’s largest-ever fundraising year. Earlier in her career, Allyson worked as development coordinator in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and built a strong foundation in donor relations. Before transitioning into higher education, Allyson served in leadership roles with the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, where she managed membership development, sponsorship programs, and networking events with a consistent focus on retention and engagement. Allyson holds a bachelor's degree in Corporate Journalism from Auburn University. She is married to Allen and they have two kids, Mary McKinnon and Mac.
