Our Services

The OnMed® CareStation delivers real-time, virtual healthcare with no cost to patients. Housed in private, secure locations, these stations connect patients with Alabama-licensed clinicians through high-definition video and advanced diagnostic tools. This technology increases access to primary care, especially in communities with limited local providers.

In partnership with the College of Nursing, Alabama Department of Health, and East Alabama Health, we offer primary care services in select communities in East Alabama. These services bring essential medical care directly to rural areas, with support from Auburn's health faculty and student teams. Services are available at scheduled times and are coordinated with local leaders.

We work alongside UAB-Beacon and Auburn University Psychological Services to offer mental health counseling and substance use disorder treatment through telehealth access points. These services are confidential, compassionate, and tailored to address the unique mental health challenges facing rural residents.

Through Auburn’s Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences program and the Auburn University Speech and Hearing Clinic, we are able to provide no cost hearing, speech, and language screenings. Speech-language evaluations, speech and language therapy services, hearing evaluations, and treatment for hearing loss can also be obtained at this location (insurance or self-pay accepted, sliding fee scale is offered). These services support children and adults in underserved communities, increasing access to essential communication care.

Our initiative hosts hands-on Inter-professional Education (IPE) days that bring together students from Auburn University Pharmacy, Nursing, Human Sciences, and Speech programs as well as Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine. These events allow students to collaborate across disciplines while delivering wellness services, screenings, and health education to community members.

Community-centered events offer free health screenings, wellness coaching, and preventive care education. These are organized in partnership with local leaders and Extension agents to build trust and promote long-term health engagement.
