The Campus Kitchen was chartered as a student organization at Auburn University.

CKP-AU Recognized for Sustainability Efforts
CKP-AU's efforts were recognized with the 2015 Spirit of Sustainability Award and included a school food backpack program and support for the establishment of other Campus Kitchens chapters.

Growth and Outreach
The Campus Kitchens team at Auburn University saw remarkable growth in grants and outreach initiatives, including a crowd-funded campaign, grants, and new partnerships.

"Kitchen of the Year"
This year marked a significant expansion in the team's leadership and community partnerships, culminating in recognition at the Food Waste and Hunger Summit as the "Kitchen of the Year".

Expanding Partnerships and Serving More Meals
Campus Kitchens at Auburn University continues to expand its community partnerships and increase food donations.

Serves over 53,000 meals
The Campus Kitchens Project at Auburn University experienced a revitalization in efficiency and recruitment, almost doubling the number of shift leaders and logging a total of 3,000 volunteer hours.

Resilience and Adaptation in the Face of Adversity
The Campus Kitchen Project at Auburn University persevered through various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and implemented new initiatives such as a recycling program and improved kitchen facilities.

Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Campus Kitchens at Auburn University has continued its operations with effective leadership and safety measures to ensure the safety of volunteers and the community they serve.
2021 - 2022
Campus Kitchen relocates
Due to recent growth, CKAU has relocated to a larger, centrally located headquarters on the first floor of Lupton Hall, offering expanded facilities and greater visibility for community engagement and collaboration.
2022 - 2023
"Fred and Charlene Kam Human Touch Award"
Campus Kitchen has continued to grow and gain recognition, raising over $10,000 during Tiger Giving Day for fighting hunger and receiving the "Fred and Charlene Kam Human Touch Award."
2023 - 2024
"Most Exceptional Campus Organization."
Efforts to increase visibility through speaking engagements, community partnerships, and other events helped strengthen CKAU’s presence on campus, culminating in being named the "Most Exceptional Campus Organization."
