University Outreach assistant vice president emeritus Ralph Foster was recently honored by Alabama Possible for his longtime service as board member and chair of the state nonprofit devoted to raising awareness and promoting solutions to systemic poverty. Foster became involved with Alabama Possible in 2009 as one of Auburn’s institutional representatives to the organization. He was first elected to the board in 2011, served as chair from 2015 to 2017, and continued as a board member through 2025. Citing his commitment and contributions to the organization, Alabama Possible executive director Chandra Scott and current chair Jason Vandiver presented Foster with a board resolution naming him Emeritus Board Member. Foster joins Alabama Possible founder Wayne Flynt of Auburn University and Leon Frazier of Alabama State University as board emeriti honorees.
