Promoting faculty, student and staff engagement through the development of community and institutional partnerships.

The Office of Public Service (OPS) fosters student, faculty and staff engagement through impactful community partnerships. Our programs connect the university to the public, strengthening our collective commitment to service.
OPS proudly supports student groups like The Campus Kitchen, Circle K International at AU, and Rural Health Connect which empower students to engage in meaningful service.
The AuburnServes network connects over 213 community partners with Auburn’s faculty and students, offering volunteer opportunities and service-learning projects that address critical needs.
The Auburn Across Alabama bus tour is another flagship initiative where faculty, staff and students travel to underserved communities across the state, building partnerships that foster lasting change. Through these efforts, OPS provides tools, support, and visibility to community engagement, ensuring Auburn University remains a leader in service.
OPS also collaborates with Auburn’s Rural Health Initiative (RHI), which is working to improve access to care in Alabama’s rural communities. Through innovative solutions like installing five telehealth stations and building strong local partnerships, RHI is enhancing health outcomes. With planned expansions in 2026, the Auburn team remains committed to addressing critical needs in rural healthcare.
Whether through student interactions, community collaboration, or innovative outreach, the Office of Public Service is committed to enriching the lives of Alabamians and beyond.
