Outreach Global is creating opportunities for global engagement and contribution towards community development across the globe. Our annual trips abroad offer students and faculty the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable experiences, provide crucial services to various global communities and simultaneously broaden their horizons while in pursuit of their chosen field of study. In addition, Outreach Global hosts annual domestic events and programs, like our annual Global Community Day Festival and the GlobalConnect camp, to encourage intercultural awareness and service-learning on our campus and in the greater Auburn community. The Global Community Day Festival is a day of bringing international and domestic communities together to learn and experience global cultures through music, art, games, food, and more! The Office of Outreach Global will host its 5th Annual Global Community Day Festival in Spring 2026.

"I hope this program can continue for many years and that Auburn’s connections in Ghana continue to grow stronger and expand into different industries, particularly engineering and business. Sometimes issues can be solved by sweeping policy, but often it is individuals showing up and trying their best who make the most impact, and I think this program is a good example of that."
"The Ghana Service-Learning Program through the Outreach Global office was an extremely valuable broadening experience for me. Prior to this trip, I had never travelled internationally and I wanted to see what life was like for people in other parts of the world... I felt a great sense of purpose in participating with the local government to staff and grow the reach of the new medical clinics we worked in."
"What I didn’t foresee was the inspiring teaching experience that I would have as a part of the Service component of the Service Learning trip... Experiencing the Swahili culture, language and customs offered a rich insight into East African history and traditions. The East African slave trade sites, such as Bagamoyo and Zanzibar locations, provided a poignant understanding of the historical injustices faced by African ancestors and offered a space for reflection and education.
