    • Beth Antoine is the Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Auburn University. An Auburn alumna and lifelong educator, she believes learning is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together and enrich lives at every stage. With more than 20 years of experience in educational leadership, Beth has built a career creating programs that foster meaningful relationships and strengthen communities. She is passionate about OLLI's mission of creating a vibrant community where members can explore new ideas, build meaningful relationships, and continue growing together. Outside the office, you'll often find her dreaming up new ideas, collaborating with community partners, or exploring ways to make Auburn an even more connected place to live and learn.

    Professional Experience

    Beth has served as a teacher, curriculum leader, and assistant principal with Auburn City Schools before joining Auburn University as Director of OLLI. Throughout her career, she has led strategic planning initiatives, designed districtwide professional learning, overseen interdisciplinary programming, and developed innovative educational opportunities for learners of all ages.

    She has also created several community-focused initiatives, including Auburn High School's World's Fair and a state-certified Mass Media/Television Production program that connected Auburn City Schools, Auburn University, the City of Auburn, and the broader community through educational programming and public communications.

    Her professional service includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools, chairing the Alabama CLAS Banner School Review Committee, and contributing as an expert reviewer for the 2025 Comprehensive School Counseling and Guidance Model for Alabama Public Schools. She was recognized as the 2024–25 Alabama Assistant Principal of the Year for her leadership and innovation in education.

    Innovation

    Beth's interests focus on adult learning and the creation of cultures where people experience both intellectual growth and a strong sense of belonging. She is especially interested in translating educational research into practical experiences that make learning accessible, relevant, and enjoyable for diverse communities.

    Engagement

    Community engagement has been the defining thread throughout Beth's career. She is excited to expand OLLI's partnerships throughout the region and create new opportunities for members to learn, serve, and connect.
