Our Purpose
"Transforming underserved K-12 communities through programs and partnerships in the classroom and beyond."
Welcome to the Center for Educational Outreach & Engagement (CEOE) website. Auburn University is dedicated to empowering youth and schools within our community. Our mission through CEOE is to create opportunities for our youth, schools and the community. We aim to develop new programs and enhance existing ones to better prepare the youth in our state for college and careers.
As we help prepare the students of Alabama for successful post-secondary and career experiences, we are mindful of the 21st-century skills they will need as global citizens. Hence, CEOE will include programs and experiences that enhance international exchange and expand the global capabilities of our students.
Outreach Ambassadors are students who are dedicated to assisting Auburn University Outreach in developing, promoting, and supporting university programs that serve the broader community. Come join us in making a difference!
CEOE Programs
Young Professionals In Training (YPIT) is a mentoring and tutoring program for students in 5th–12th grade. The program will expose students from underrepresented populations to majors and careers on Auburn University's campus. YPIT is a collaboration between Auburn University Outreach, Truman Pierce Institute (TPI), and the Curtis House, a local non-profit. YPIT seeks to understand participants' challenges and needs by allowing them to be the drivers of the program.
The Auburn University Bullock County Agriculture program (AUBCAG) provides numerous and diverse opportunities for a multitude of high school students in the exploration of and engagement with all aspects of the Auburn University College of Agriculture as well as the career pathways for workforce development within the field(s) of Agriculture.
Service in Schools explores the challenges and opportunities in Alabama's education system. The program examines school performance, the impact of poverty on learning and essential behavior management skills for K-12 students in the community.
GEAR UP Achieve aims to significantly increase the number of low-income students prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. The program offers students access to rigorous coursework, financial aid assistance and additional resources to help make college a more attainable pathway for their futures.
